Okay, so there isn’t much for me to do at the moment. Let’s be honest, the biggest part of my job is done, right? I wrote the manuscript, now it is Nan’s turn to do her thing! I’m looking forward to the little bits in between, though. I’ve ticked off the tasks I was given first up so that I don’t hold anyone else up. Now I wait for my next!

I’m so keen to see potential cover art. I looked at a few of the artists that work with TWRP and I know which ones I really like best, but I’m so looking forward to seeing what comes up! My mind is rather a blank slate in that area, which is probably a good thing…
Part of my set tasks were to pick an excerpt from my book – a “hook” if you will – to draw attention. I hope I chose the right one! I think it is a rather pivotal scene in the story. It is when Lucilla questions herself for the first time. She is really rather self-assured, but for a moment we see her kind of lose that. I consider it important – it opens doors to her asking other questions. Worrying ones.

Another thing I needed to do was write a blurb – gosh I hope I got that right! That is a hard one. I’ve read so many of them in my life, but picking one for my own book? Not as easy as you think – at all!
I am excited and nervous while I wait for the next step for me to be involved in, it is all a process. And a long wait. Wait, wait, wait…
