Taking a little hop skip and jump over the subject of my travels of England for the moment to address the elephant in the room.

Tomorrow is the 27th February, 2023 – the day my book is launched and I officially become a published author. As the clock keeps ticking today away, I keep telling myself that it can’t be real, but I have been assured that it is. It is, in fact, real.

Tomorrow, you can meet the Honourable Miss Lucilla Iverson and her friends and frenemies. Tomorrow, the story I carried in my head and my heart for a long time will be out there in the world for anyone and everyone to see.

Exceptionally Unconventional – 27th February 2023

I’ve never been very good at words unless they were on a page. Putting my work out there opens me up to both criticism as well as praise, and like anybody, the thought of criticism frightens me. So far the reviews have been positive and favourable, except for one that was dismal but is really not worth thinking about considering it was given only because the person doesn’t appreciate books that aren’t written in POV.

I am working on my second novel. I’ll admit I’ve hit a bit of a bump, but I’m pushing through it as best I can and I’m hopeful that once the distraction that is a book launch date passes that I’ll be able to get back my groove.

Now, it is 3.45pm and it is time to get up and train my horse. We have a massive 160km endurance event coming up in just a few months and I have not ridden even once yet this year! It’s time to get going. There’s a lot happening in 2023 – and it’s still just February!
